Why Support the PTO?

Your $10.00 annual donation helps pay for many student events on campus throughout the year including all grade level field trips and transportation to the destination for field trip, Planetarium, various authors visiting campus, improvements around the campus, fulfillment of "wish list" items for teachers and their classrooms, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo visiting campus, our monthly hospitality events for the staff, and many other wonderful programs. Your annual donation supports Birkes' students and staff in so many ways! And it is the EASIEST way to show your support!

Now that renovations have been completed, the mural and hardtop artwork are on hold. We hope to have updates on these items as soon as construction crews wrap up! One of the questions often asked is where does the fundraising money go? That’s a great question. Here is a list of some of the items we have purchased throughout the last few years at Birkes Elementary thanks to the generosity of our parents and community:

As you can see, this list includes many items that are critical to the academic success and safety of our students. We are intentional when making decisions in regards to how our money is spent. This year, we would like to utilize our fundraiser money for grade level field trips. With some of the money we have saved from the spring Boosterthon, along with this year’s proceeds from the fall Boosterthon, we will aim to have an off campus or on campus field trip or local “field trip experience.” Thank you for your support once again!
